OUR APPROACH

How NIXON Empowers Scholars

Nixon scholar and teacher in the classroom.

Focused on Every Child’s Growth

At Nixon Elementary School, we create a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment where every scholar feels valued and supported. As a tuition-free charter school serving Montgomery’s Westside, we use data-driven instruction, small-group learning, and personalized intervention to help scholars excel. Our teachers focus on both academic mastery and strong character—building honesty, service, determination, and a belief in each child’s future.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

At Nixon, learning is active, joyful, and connected to real life. Scholars explore through hands-on PreK experiences, arts, STEM, enrichment activities, and after-school tutoring. Families benefit from free summer learning programs and free job training for adults through Skilled US. Together with local partners, we provide wraparound support that strengthens academic growth, social-emotional development, and community pride—empowering scholars in and beyond the classroom.

With a focus on learning, leadership, and community, our approach helps scholars reach their full potential and build a strong foundation for lifelong success.
